Fabia Strutbrace.

Featured Replies

Well as some of you may have seen in other threads ;) i fitted my seatsport strutbrace @ Brunters for some back to back comparison...

All in all it has definately made an improvement.. the car turns in slightly quicker than before and feels more stable when cornering on uneven surfaces. and also gives much more stable braking with my monster front brakes :D

Its really easy to fit (if your name isnt Col G  ) and its a worthwhile mod.. even on standard suspension.. altho much more benefit would be gained with uprated suspension. as it just makes the bodyroll more noticeable when throwing the car around :(

Some people with the Ibizas seem to have problems with the strutbrace fouling on the airbox.. but ive not had any problems.. except with the engine cover which keeps coming off the rear mount and rubbing.

to sum up: :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: 5 thumbs up rating. its a cheap mod that will make a suprising difference.... right.. lower brace now

 Best mod for your money in terms of tightening it all up. I'm dead chuffed with mine. Cheers Ross.

Although hard to compare to before as fitted at same time as eibach dampers / springs...

Must get round to getting mine!

theres one for sale @ SCN at the moment :)

Colin,

I had the same problem originally with the engine cover. Spray a little bit of lube on the rubber mounting and it allows it to push on further and seat properly, worked with mine.

Glad your happy with the brace and your brakes :)

theres one for sale @ SCN at the moment :)

Shall take a look. Cheers. ;)

Does a strut brace need declaring to the insurance co?

all mods should be declared. no matter how big or small *ahem* ive yet to tell my insurer about the big brakes, strutbrace and cupholder :o

Mine was fouling on the airbox :thumbdwn:

A couple of hefty shoves downwards on the airbox sorted it - there is now a 1cm gap :D

Cracking mod for
