Hello everyone! I chanced upon this wonderful community while googling for xenons. This place ROCKS!

I'm from the wonderful country called India. A 26 summers young stock market investor, I'm crazy about cars. And, I LOVE my Octy, the Silver Bullet as I call her.

The Silver Bullet is a 2005 Octavia1, 1781cc 20V Turbo, 150BHP in stock state of tune. I have fitted 16" HR alloys and 225/50R16 Falkens. For ICE, I've an el cheappo JBL setup.

Over here, Skoda is viewed as a premium brand and I am not complaining. But, Skodas are expensive to maintain and service support is less than satisfactory.

I would love to give the Silver Bullet a performance boost. But, here options are very limited and prices are nasty! Yesterday I did get a custom made Catback. Haven't had the time for a proper test drive.

Enough about me. I hope to gain more knowledge from you people.

I'm an Indian but havent had the chance to visit India yet.

I didnt know Skodas had reached India. i knew Ford had as some of their cars have been in a film namely Baghban I think.

Skodas over in the UK aren't exactly budget but aren't premium (although some of them you do have to pay a fair bit for)

My Skoda isnt that expensive to maintain and I have always found my local Skoda people helpful.

I notice you have Falken tyres.

Another of your fellow Indians (BRISKODA - The Skoda Forum and Community) was asking for tyre recommendations a few days ago, and quite a few of of us like the Falken 452s and recommended them.

He said he couldn't find the Falken 452s in India.

One thing to add is that Skoda's premium image in India has done VW's nose in. VW is synonomous with Beetles and Golf Diesels. They have launched the Passat TDI 140 at Merc C class prices. Good luck to them
