Well, while I was on a clubstand charge - I went looking into GTI International 2008 - and they've got dates already.

GTI International 2007

This is a great weekend, or just a one day thing. Booking for this is dead easy - you just ring up the organiser and pay on credit card and they post tickets. Very easy for someone like me to organise.

Cost? Well, not sure yet, but last year it think it was £15 for either Saturday or Sunday, or £20 for the weekend, possibly £25. No onsite camping. Usually a nearby campsite, or there's plenty of hotels within 10 miles or so.

Event is held at Bruntingthorpe. There will be clubstands from all types of VAG groups. Some special cars. There's also a full 1/4 mile laid out. Cost is £5 a run I think, but you can bulk buy and save overall. You also get a 0-60 time as well as the 1/4.

I'm going for sure. :D

Jas, I think you will find that the timing gear only goes up to 1 minute and no further. ;)

I'll no doubt be there on the Saturday as usual. Too old for that camping sh1te though.

Sorry Jason, may be me being a bit thick, but are you saying you're organising the Brisky stand for this?

If so, could be interested and wouldn't mind putting the car on the stand if you want.

Yeah - I will be. Although, from a personal point of view, I'm going to be part way through working for my advanced stage accountancy exams, so tempted to actually not attend this.... But I can still organise it as it's a piece of p, one, double S to do - As everyone just pays the publshing company that runs it for tickets. I don't really have to get involved in any depth, at least not compared to TRAX....

I will be there for sure...........

I'll be there again to defend my trophy ;)

Hopefully we can persuade a load more to join us this year :)

But less crotch grabbing this year please, it wasn't that big a trophy

 I was looking for that photo :o

What was the class again for that trophy?

Quickest 0-60 for a Skoda but in fairness there was only about 6 or so that entered but I did beat the 400bhp Octy entered by JBS into second place as it could not get any traction at all! :P

There were quite a few unclaimed trophy's at the end of the day, in particular the Show 'n Shine for a Skoda where you could have entered the filthiest pile of junk and won as no one bothered from our lot!!

I may come as a break from my exams around that time. :) I've not heard from the organisers yet so cannot tee up the facility where people can ring them up and book with them direct.

Might go own to this!

We should be able to book soon. Autometrix emailed me the booking form for the club, and I edited it in MS Word and emailed it right back. When I get confirmation I'll put up how to contact them, and then I'll ask everyone who wants to go to contact autometrix, book & pay, then PM me this has been done.

Yep this is already in my calendar! Will do the Sunday this year.

Myself and Jason did try and enter the show and shine last year, but they told us we were too late!! We turned up at 11.30 and everyone had to enter by 11 :(
