I got my Fabia VRS SE back in june and paid the extra for the gap insurance.

Looking through my documents i don't have any documentation for this whatsoever. i haven't got a policy document or terms and conditions or anything.

Is this right? was i supposed to get some documentation for it?

You should get some documentation through with the order or purchase of the car. When i paid for my Gap Insurance on my Fr ibiza it was on the original invoice. I then got a letter from the gap insurance people a few weeks later.

Failing that call the gap insurance people up and see what they say.

Slight problem... i don't have anything apart from a line on the receipt that says i have paid for the gap insurance!!

I got mine on line it was a lot cheaper but you had to download the policy so I would imagine the dealer would have had access to the same facility, As long as you have got you recipt of payment you should be ok, But you should have had your policy as well,

Yep if its on the reciept to say that you have payed for it then id chace them for the documentation / certificate for it.

TBH its the best thing you can get when either buying from a stealer or if buying a brand new car certanly helped me out earlier on in the year when i wrote my 05 plate ibiza off :(
