Panel filter - Induction Kit

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Probably been asked a thousand times but I can't find the info on here, basically I want to know what the differences in performance and sound are between a panel filter (K&N) and a reasonably priced Induction Kit.

Silly question, what do you mean by smoothing the standard airbox

Imho, a panel filter is probably better bang-for-buck that an induction kit, and some induction kits can actually cost you throttle response and bhp!

It means removing the plastic fins etc. as they are thought to cause resistance to air flow. Personally I'm leaving mine intact, I can't help thinking they're there for a reason...

I think the reason they are there is to reduce induction noise.
