Hi bud!

I thought it said 3 ply on the auction? Looking good though, very keen to hear the results when fitted.

Remember, they recommend a throttle body re-allignment too after fitted

could you post pictures of it in situ please? also whereabout did you get it from on ebay? was it a shop?

cheers

Me and a mate have just finished fitting,it took about an hour.Very tight to get into position on the turbo but all finished now.

Does it feel any different?

  • Author

Feels very slighly faster but not like a remap. My original did have a leak on it so that was one reason for upgrade. The other was my hesitation problem which it has helped a bit.

at last someone has had the balls to buy one.

i thought about it,then a samco one turned up cheap second hand.

if they work, and last ,they could well give other TIP manufacturers a run for their money.

Verdict, worth getting?

Erm worth it for me as helped my prob a bit but i would say not a huge increase in power.

Next few days should tell me more as i have only driven about 4 miles since change.

Turbo whistle is possibly a little louder than before.

Think im going to order one of these Mart and the Audi cannister too.

Mike do you know what car the larger audi cannister is from?

Hmm, still not sure if I should invest in one of these yet.

What did your insurers say and did you have to mod it at all? There looks like an extra pipe!

I've just had to change the pre lambda sensor on my vRS. Cost me £80 odd quid for the part from Eurocarparts :thumbdwn:

No, but I am going to speak to a friend who should have access to all that :)

Here are pics for you

I did not have to modify the TIP at all everything went back in the same places just a tiny bit out of place but still connected well.I used a stainless steel jubilee clip on the turbo end as they get hot and cold all the time and may rot easier and i didnt fancy being on my back on a cold floor again.

Thanks mate, looks good.

Think i'll put in a best offer of £20 and see what he says :D

Holy cow it will defo be a bargain if you get it for that!

And i thought i was a cheeky sod :D

Worth a try, he denied it! Sent a message asking what the lowest he'd accept was.

I'm tempted to give it a go...

Has you noticed MUCH difference in throttle response or lower spool up time? I'm guessing you've had a change to drive it a bit more now.

:)
