Further to my original post, I picked the car up last night from Uphall.

It's actually going to be the wifes, as we are expecting our first baby in May - so a semi sensible car was required. The car is a 2004, however has her private plate on it. I still have the clio 172. The car is in excellent condition and initial impressions are very good...

The driving position is decent, the pedals are slightly offset for my liking. The steering is also a little light, over assisted to be honest. It feels very composed however a set of eibachs will be purchased in the new year. The car has been remapped at star performance to 172bhp, with 300lb/ft of torque, with in gear performance being pretty balisitic.. The build quality is sooo much better than the clio. The wheels have been refurbed in antracite which complements the 'Black magic' beautifully.

You could find a member nearby with vag-com and try adjusting the power steering level, see if you can find something you like more.
