quick question really. will a PS3 play without any problems on a non HDTV?

Yes, works no problem. Just used the supplied composite video cable (yellow connection).

ive heard tv doesnt cope with graphics or is that just a myth?

surely if you're only using the video cable (i.e non HD) then the TV will be able to cope fine with what it's getting.

The TV will be able to display it , but I know of at least one person who said that the text in some games is pretty much unreadable on a standard TV as the resolution is so low.

I run mine on a normal tv without any problems, although its a reasonable spec tv with prog scan and component inputs. Its a lot better on an HD though due to the resolution. Not so much in games, but for the dash and online browser.
