All sorted 2 purchased yesterday fitted and working

£47 inc vat for the 2

Thanks again

I now have this problem too i think. You can hear the motor going non stop when igintion is on but it's not doing anything, i take it is the black unit in the light cluster?

Do i need a new one or can i just disconnect it for the time being?

I suppose you could unplug it, but you will have to take light cluster out to get at it. And it would probably be easier to take the motor off to get at the plug

Hope this makes sense and helps

Yeah see what you mean, how do you get in to the motor? do you have to open up the black unit? Thanks

Just spray it with wd40, its a kill or cure method but it worked for me.

Open up the cluster and the black motor has two screws on it, undo these and pull the motor up a bit then turn it anticlockwise (I think) and you will see another screw holding the lug onto the light unit, undo this and the motor is free. So you can unplug it or change it.

Tried that on mine which was constanly trying to move. Didn't work

Thanks mate, will have a go tomorrow when it's light.

Bah! I've never really fiddled with my nob before.

Discovered my offside beam adjuster isnt working last night.

But thanks to this thread i know what to do.

Nice one.

I never got ruond to doing it at all, but the cars moved on now anyway. :)

Popped the offside motor out last night. Opened up the motor casing and squirted some WD40 in there and jiggled things about a bit to free anything up.

Took me two attempts to refit the light, as i forgot to put the two screws holding the motor down the first time! (muppet).

But anyway, it works now!

Looks like I've saved myself £27 for now, cheers guys.

Hi,

My Octavia II has started making the noise after beling left out in the snow all night last weekend.

I took the headlight out and stripped the motor out, cleaned it and used WD40 as I read here but it still makes a noise.

When I called my local Skoda dealer and gave them the part number for the motor that was mentioned in this post earlier they said that was for an Octavia I and that the motor for the Octavia II was not available. I need to buy a whole new light at over £120.

My motor had 0307853314 written on it. Is this the part number or can someone confirm if it is or is not availalble as a part on its own and if it is the correct Skoda part number.

In the meantime I have unplugged the motor on both sides as its due an MOT and I dont want em failing it.

Cheers.

John

P.S. I just noticed this is posted in the Octavia I forum when my question is about Octavia II. Sorry folks.
