Oil Light

Featured Replies

So after fitting coil packs and getting up and running i have been getting my oil light come on when it feels like it

Its the red one the beeps and flashes at you. It then goes out and comes back on when it feels like it.

Car is full of oil and pressure is good (according to the gauges i have in there anyway).

So i guessing its a faulty sensor.

Could it be the oil pressure sensor thats causing it? Only reason i ask is that i had to butcher the connector off and bodged it back on and while's been fine over the summer im wondering if the cold weather could be the cause?

The oil is due to be changed tomorrow so that might help it.

unplug your oil switch chec for oil in the contacts.sounds like its leaking. oil light will flash when revving or driving. new oil switch needed.

Cheers for that mate.

Ill have a look later on but id be surprised if its leaking as i have installed an oil pressure relocation kit and the gauge still shows good pressure from the original location on the engine :???:

There is only the one sensor though isnt there?
