Someone's Keyed The Bonnet :@

Featured Replies

...so whoever it was can they please own up :p

Found a key mark about 8 inches long on the side of the bonnet. Its quite deep and down to the metal but I'm fairly confident I can tackle it and a few other marks myself. I need some touch up paint, 2000 & 3000 grit sandpaper, and a PC. I can get everything apart from the sandpaper. Does anyone know where (ideally in Liverpool) I can get hold of some? Halfords and B&Q won't stock it and I don't know anywhere else who might have some?

Will post up a thread once I've tackled it to show how it looks. If I bodge it up I can always get the bonnet resprayed

Thanks for that but ideally I'd rather get hold of it today or tomororw at the latest. There's a place in Liverpool I've found that has 2000 grit sandpaper but its difficult getting out of work and it closes at 5 grr!

Can't advise on where to get it, but try and get the unigrit stuff or similar which claims to be of a more regular nature as it makes it easier to polish out.

Failing that you can get cutting compounds that are 3000 grit, so that might be an option.

Call some bodyshops?
