Ariel

Featured Replies

Has anyone taken the time to change their ariel and housing to s VW one so you can put a stumpy Honda ariel on?

I believe in little touches to make a car stand out too! ;)

Anyone got any pictures?

Is the VW base different? I've owned an example of most of the more recent VAG models on the Golf and Polo chassis. My Fabia had a similar base to my mk4 Golf and my SEATs had the 'security' blob on the end of the ariel but the same thread diameter as the other two. My current Polo has a fatter bolt on the end and the VX220 ariel I had on my Fabia and Golf didn't fit so I had to modify yet another mast.

the S2000 honda aeriels fit no problem I have one on mine. Got mine off a mate from UK MKIVs forum - had the same one on the Beetle. If you want the details just drop me a PM

Can you post a pic, please!

Why change a perfectly good aerial?

Why change a perfectly good aerial?

'Cos it looks like a radio controlled car with it. It's freakin' huge.

Fabia Is security(ish) just has a bit of a barb on the end that you have to tug quite sharply before it will come out.

I changed mine as it used to clang on the up and over garage door. At 5am it sounds remarkably loud!!!

I got hold of an S2000 ariel, gave the old one a good tug and it came off.

Honda ariel looks good on it.

Cheers guys.

I just cut mine down to size :D still works perfectly :P

Went for a DAB radio/MP3 player; stylish windscreen aerial now attached!
