Hi guys,

The stream head unit in my Octy seems to have gone gaagaa :(

Nothing is coming out on the speakers, While I can switch between the CD modes and FM mode (FM1 only) and looks like it's tuning it doesn't put anything out and refuses to move over to other FM modes or AM.

It's saying there's no CD in the main drive even though there is (and won't eject it) and just says please wait when I move over to the ipod interface. (ipod initialises but doesn't play.)

Any ideas or do I have to drop it into the dealer??

Sounds like a head unit fault.

Definately contact either a dealer or an ICE shop

If you go to a dealer, I suspect they will just tell you the head unit is faulty and replace it. This is fine if your car is under warranty, but if not, I'd be scouring ebay or looking at aftermarket head units to replace it as it'll be much cheaper....

My audience has done this before, the dealer flashed the current HU with some newer firmware and it hasnt done it since.

Bloody thing started to work on the trip home anyhow I'll have a word with them when it goes in for next service. (unless is has a another senior moment)
