Hey guys, does anyone have these alloy wheels on your Octavia?

4x 19" RA01 Alloy Wheels with 235/35/19 tyres - Topgear Alloy Wheels

My car is a black VRS and although i really like the look of the standard wheels im starting to play with the idea of upgrading them to either 18" or 19" in this style.

Also, what do you guys think? Will they look awfull or will 19" be just too big?

The body on my motor is totally standard and i have no plans whatsoever to put a kit on it.

will look terrible without lowering.

will kill the handling and acceleration.

the purpose of alloy wheels is to reduce weight. thus chinese / far eastern copies made of cheap heavy material is not a good idea and should be left to the *****.

if you like bigger wheels fine (i do) but dont fit tat save up and get some proper ones.. you will feel the benefit.

That syle isnt to my taste to be honest. I think they look good on something of a shorter wheelbase like the golf. But for the Octy i think a multi spoke design wold be better. I'm considering going for new wheels in the new year and after carefull consideration have decided to go for 18s. This is based on handling, ride comfort, cost of tyres and due to the fact that i dont want to lower the car. and 19s without being lowered would make the car look like a dune buggy i think.

Heres a pic of a forum members old car,he had them on his octy in 19's,i think it looked nice but it was lowered on coilovers

I'm driving 18 inch OZ wheels with 10 spokes. looks nice and is still pretty comfortable.

wouldn't go any bigger myself.

I think these wheels ahve been on so many cars now that I wouldn't bother. It'll look like everyone elses. There are plenty of other cool wheels out there to choose from.

To be honest i really do like the look of the Black Octy posted up via dsmithmobile so cheers for that!

However.....

I've seen sense and im going to keep the standard wheels! They look the biz and when kept clean and tyres blacked out the car looks great! The car also drives and handles really well so i wouldn't want to mess about with it!!
