Hi everyone,

The engine management warning light (orange picture of an engine) has just lit up and wont go out on my 110000ml octavia VRS. Car still seems to run and drive as normal although i havnt used it much. Booked in with garage next week, but any ideas what the problem is likely to be??

could be anything mate im afraid.

its a very open and non specific error, try and get your car to the garage or hooked up to Vagcom as soon as you get a chance.

had this problem for what seemed like an eternity, in the end it was a handsfree kit that was causing it, but again it could be anything (dont go destroying your hands free kit )

Had the same light illuminate last week. I'm not gonna mess around, got it booked in at the dealer this week for it's service, will get it checked at the same time.

You will need vag com to find out what it is like its been said.

Should be fine to drive to some where to find out what the issue is though
