Fabia 1.4 2001 washer bottle removal

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

just registered and would like to say hello.

I am looking for advice on how to remove the washer bottle for my wifes Fabia as it has a leak somewhere.

I would appreciate any help on this one.

Thanks

Welcome, you can get to the washer bottle by removing the passenger front wheelarch liner, you may be able to get away with removing the fixings at the front and wedging yhe liner out of the way. It is not uncommon for the pumps to leak, which if it is, it will need replacing.

Thanks for the info.

Due to adverse weather conditions I cant do it today, I'll hopefuly get a crack at it tomorrow.

We also have a problem with the engine management light staying on,

it has been back to the garage we bought it from twice who said it was the Lamda sensor, this was replaced but it's back on again. We also had our local mechanic look at it, he got it off but again it is back on.

Can anyone shed light on this one for me?

Thanks again

Welcome to Briskoda. :) I have moved your query to the Fabia forum for ease of reference.

if that's yer problem, there's a couple going on ebay:D

If you have the 2 litre bottle, I'd recommend replacing it with a 5 litre bottle whilst you have it out...
