Lotus Elan SE Turbo

Featured Replies

Alot of Elise's are written off if they have body damage, because a new clam from lotus is around £1200, ish for the front, and £2000 for the rear.

But they come up on ebay for as little as £100, if your not too bothered about appearance, you could do a quick fix at home, or spend dome real time and get it looking right, and just bolt it on.

As for the suspension bits, I dont know how much they would cost from a brakers, but not too much (couple of hundred quid maybe).

The ultimate question is what shocks are on a car like that, if its the std Konis, you would be better buying a whole new set as the std ones dont last, and can be vastly improved.

Personally I would hope that you could get that car to the track fully sorted, and ready for the raod for 4k.

Only thing to watch for is that there is no damage to the tub as the chassis cannot be easily repaired. (I would have thought at a cat d it should be ok).

What concerned me with that one is that the N/S/R has gone as well as the O/S/F.
