Cheers mate.

Il do that job aswell.

I was speaking to my uncle tonight and he said that he used BP ultimax or sumthing and seen noticable improvements on fuel economy, even when he only filled the tank half way, over standard unleaded.

So maybe that may be worth a try aswell

How much was it for your oxygen sensor and where did you get it from.

Your reply is genuinely appreciated as i am only seventeen and i need to save as much as possible as i dont have alot of money to throw around(name a 17 year old that has lol) especially on fuel and this might actually be a benificial modification for me to carry out.

Cheers mate.

...How much was it for your oxygen sensor and where did you get it from....

it was £75 inclusive, delivered next day from Just Lambda NTK, Suppliers of NTK lambda sensors by post.. I think.

It was their own replacement sensor, the original part is a bit over £100. best is to give them a ring with your engine code, just to make sure the code is correct.

The sensor is relatively easy to change if you have basic mechanical ability (or ask a garage to do it).

I calculated that the new sensor will have paid for itself within less than 1000miles, plus it will be easier to pass MOTs and leave less carbon deposits inside.

These sensors are infact little batteries, creating voltage. They expire slowly.

Cheers mate.

Il cover around 30 miles per day, so within about a month and a week it will have paid for its self.

Also he was telling me that he was not noticing any difference in fuel economy between his new bmw 323 ci and the fabia, so naturally i was a bit worried, so hopefully this will sort out the old fuel economy problem.

Il definatly get me one of those.

Thanks again
