Whats the black ball shaped thing bolted to the engine to the left of the oil filter on my VRS called and whats it do. It has a vacuume pipe coming out of it?

Just wondered thats all

It is part of the Vacuum system.

(Not been cocky, it just is!)

Its listed in ETKA as a damper, I have always assumed it is an accumulator to smooth out the pressure, similar to a pulsating damper in a steam piston setup.
