Well, I've decided to take the plunge and get myself the fully funtional, licensed VAGCOM. Just ordered a nice Dell XPS 13.3" laptop to use it with too!!!

So wheres the best place to get it from? Whats it going to set me back??

Do you have a cable already?

I use a cheapie Ebay one which I picked up for a few quid and never had a problem but have read bad things about them.

The software from Ross-tech is free to download and $99 to licence

As above the absolute cheapest is to buy a third party cable and then a $99 licence. Second best is a full cable/licence direct from Ross-Tech as the £/$ is good at the moment.

I do have a 3rd party cable, but its not got HEX so its not usable on A5 chassis cars, and whilst I don't need that at the moment, it certainly would be handy in the future.

I'll give the guys at Ross Tech a buzz.

I got mine from Gendan which is in the uk, although it works out cheaper from Ross-tech at the moment I think.

Yes. The queen gets her 17.5% or there abouts from you. FedEx will do the collecting for her.

What do I mean? When Ross-Tech ships, you will pay for FedEx shipping to the UK. We will only use FedEx as all other carriers have failed miserably. The cost for shipping is about $35 USD.

Within two weeks or so of delivery, FedEx will send you an invoice for the Queen's fees.
