Common Hub Fault?

Featured Replies

I recently had to take my octy vRS in to have new locks and keys fitted (damn welsh TWOCers, and on a test drive the mech noticed a noise from the N/S/F wheel area. I had a bearin changed about a month or so back, which cured the then noise. But have been gettin a lot worse noise, and play all round the wheel.

Whilst in Platinum Skoda, Bath, the mech has stripped down the NSF area to find it needs a new hub, new "knuckle joint", as well as ABS ring and bearing to top things off. Its a '05 mk1 vRS wit 86k on the clock. Apparently they say its a common fault??

Any feedback/suggestions would be appreciated
