3rd head restraint fitted at last

Featured Replies

Finally picked up the remaining parts for my 3rd head restraint this morning. As it is a fine sunny day, decided to take the plunge, cut the holes in the upholstery and fit it. 15 minutes later, one much more complete looking rear seat (and safer to boot!). Well chuffed.

The centre restraint is below the line of sight from the driver's seat so doesn't impair visibility at all. Why Skoda didn't fit the same shape on the outer ones is a bit of a mystery.

I test drove one with 3 headrests and couldn't see a damned thing out of the back!

have to agree with babs there that why i didnt thick the box on my order form

Very nice job.... Did you buy it from the dealer or did you get it elsewhere???

I've been on the lookout for one for 18 months now without any joy.

Cheers

Dave.

There's been a few on eBay.

I've been looking on e-bay but never find any..... even try searching for skoda, vw & seat headrests...... I'll keep looking.

Cheers

Dave.

Bought it from the dealer. Worked out quite (in fact very!) expensive in the end, just over £120 which is getting on for 3 times the price as a factory option! It was something I'd set my heart on doing though.

well done Clive you got there in the end. Makes the rear seat look much better.

Told you it was a simple job to do.

Got the seats down in my elegance for moving house.. noticed the extra pre cut holes in the middle of the back of the bum bit of the seat for storing the headrest while they're folded

.. thought it was a mistake, bought 2nd hand and assumed it was never an option cuz I've never seen a fabia with 3... till now..

same as I've never seen a fabia with a sunroof but I've seen promo interior pics with the control above the rear view..

£120 for a headrest... Doh
