Has anyone tried these on a Feli?

The benefits are supposed to be:

Noticeable improvement in acceleration

Significantly improved engine smoothness

Superior engine versatility

Electrode gap adjusted ex factory

They cost about double the price of the standard single electrode sparkplug, would i be wasting my money?

I have NGK plugs that are similar and are recommended for the car. They cost £11.

I only trust NGK plugs to be honest and only from the individual cardboard packets. This is from bitter experience with an Austin Mini on cold damp mornings!

I have used multi-electrode Brisk branded plugs supplied by Jorily on Ebay, and they made a noticeable difference to the worn old plugs. (136b SPI). THey have 3 electrodes.

My understanding of multi-electrode plugs is as they spark, the plug itself looses molecules of metal and gets shorter leaving a bigger gap, and the spark will always take the shortest gap. So it will only ever spark between one gap. The idea is that in time all the electrodes will wear and you'll have used them all in turn, meaning you get a longer service life from the plugs.

I have used them in most of my cars (Favorits, and Felicia's 1.3 & 1.6) - and I would recommend them, I noticed the difference in performance.

The AEE motor normaly use 3 electrode NGK sparkplugs.

I use standard Bosch ones bought from the Skoda dealer.

They were put in at 80k miles still got 20k left before they need changing.

So far I've managed to cure any misfiring with removing and replacing all leads, removing distributor cap, wiping out, spraying wd40 inside it, replacing cap, spraying WD40 on top of distributor cap and around the spark plug area.

not that it would happen in a felly, but i heard these are bad news in turbo cars where temperatures rise significantly. ive heard of horror stories of the spakr plugs falling apart into bores and causing untold damage. in one instance i saw the damage from a mates RST :(

but then i ran them in a NA 2.0i and didnt see any real noticable improvement.

Changing spark plugs is always a good idea, but that doesnt sound like a something caused by bad plugs.

Its sounds like something should be adjusted. Mixture or etc.

But as always i might be wrong =)

As always check your plugs. They can tell you alot about how they and your combustions are performing by colour and smell.

One thing i have noticed is if a plug becomes black on top (on the ceramic(sp?) white part) it usually means that the spark jumps there and that results in that you have a bad spark.

My friend has a ford mondeo that notoriously does that and misfires.

Changing plugs and leads works only for some time and then it goes back to misfiring.
