This has got to be one of the best projects I've seen. Excellent work!! (I think the wonkyness adds character!)

thanks mate!

I have figured out why it is wonky!

I needed to cut down the bump stops a huge amount to make the suspention work and after having a look today, i noticed that the bump stop on the high side isn't as sort and it looks like the car is resting on the bump stop!

You are quite mad!

different i would like to say! ;)

i have gone though a lot of thoughts about this car

first was to turbo the standard skud engine i have spare

second was to install a bug box and an impreza turbo engine

third was a bike engine and box

and i am finaly back at the turbo skoda engine plan

the others required lots of cut and shut on the back end, and i didn't want to do that (been there and doing that with my rwd fav!)

What an awesome wee project!!!

Bet this will be laugh out loud to drive when its done! :P

no major update, but a morning messing with the suspention has got the ride heght and level much better

plus a photo taken from a little further away!

note the damage to the lower front valance that will need some serious attention!

well paypal have found in favour of the seller so no money back for me!!

I appealled and they said that their first descision was final

I have written a stronly worded email to them and i am hoping for a better resolution!

How have they justified that decision when the goods sold were faulty?

tell me about it!!!!!

doh

Shame about the turbo... im trying to stay away from ebay now as there's just too many crooks on there now! lol

Looking good though... looks soooo much better with it lowered down a bit... gone from stilletos to sensible work shoes! hehe

As said above it will no doubt be very fun to drive and will probably have lots of comical value... should be pretty fast... suprisingly so!!!

got some new wheels for the car... will post up pics later or tomorrow when i fit them!!!

new wheels time....

they are 15x8 off a beetle!

225/60 on the front and 265/60 on the back! the wheels are good, but the tyres are FAR too large.... so going for some low profile stretched rubber!

Here is the standard skoda alloy next to the new wheels

big ent they!!

rear

Dscf7045.jpg

front

Dscf7049.jpg

due to the centre bore, the front wheels don't seet properly atm.. so they stick out an extra 6 mm!

do you like???

hell yeah!!! that would certainly stop it being clamped if you didn't bother to buy a parking ticket

I think you should colour code them and then they would be perfect :)

some more stuff!

today i purchased a 130 rear end, a bird bath spoiler and got a trial wheel from a mate to whip the tyre off and put on the big beetle wheels to check if they will actually fit!

DSCF7261.jpg

wheel (i like the look but it won't fit due to pcd and offset is all wrong!

DSCF7260.jpg

spoiler - needs a fair bit of work to make good!

DSCF7262.jpg

this is a comparision on the difference in diameter of the tyres... huge difference!

Looking good mate:thumbup:
