A turbo timer is not req on a diesel because it doesnt reach temperatures high enough..

also a remote-start will invalidate your insurance because it bypass's the immobiliser.

If you want it insurance approved, you'll need to get it fitted by an official Clifford dealer. Stick your postcode in at Clifford (United Kingdom) - FAQ and it should tell you the nearest and they can give you a quote fitted and probably recommend the best model for you.

You would only need a turbo timer if you rag the nuts off it all the way up to your driveway.

Idling for a while if (for example) stopping at motorway services is a good idea though.

Again I would fix your car first and find out why its eating turbos
