Fabia VRS swamped by bow wave from a lorry!

Featured Replies

Hi. I had the misfortune of driving in poor weather earlier in the week and my Fabia VRS got a nice big wave of water thrown all over it by a crappy lorry. As a result the blower control now doesn't work and I can't operate the heater or air-con (not that I need that at the moment!). First thing to check I supose would be that a fuse hasn't blown, but according to the car manual, the fuse box is located under glove box but I can't seem to remove the cover as it is secured by 2 screws which you need a very small allen key to undo. I don;t have one of these! I assume I'm looking on the right place? Can't see the fuse box under the bonnet. Anyone got any ideas on what might be the problem with the blower control? Cheers.:)

Hi mate, the fuse box is located at the end of the dash. Open the drivers door and there is a panel on the end of the dash that needs to be prised opened with a small screw driver.

If that makes any sence?

Welcome to the Forum

As above the fuse box is on the end of the dash, drivers side...

See piccy below...

The slot is designed so that the end of the key fits it, negating the need for tools to remove it.

there is a list of fuses and what they do on VRStu website

Although they may not be 100% accurate for your car.
