3rd brake light sticker

Featured Replies

lol that's quite funny :D

Quite nice, but I would like an LED readout for the rear window :)

:rofl::rofl:

Fun but tacky

Nice Pikey mod there

We have the same comment on our vRS's except all in the same font...... You do get quite a few people smiling at it when they pull up behind you...... Especially from fellow Skoda drivers. :D:D:D

Cheers

Dave.

Aren't you worried that someone will take you up on it? I imaging a kiss from a lorry would cause a fair amount of damage...

hehe well its a mate thats selling these.. he used my car to fit them up for size.. just thought it would be a bit of a laugh.. and u'll be suprised on how many people comment on it :)

ohh also he was wandering if the Octavia has the same size 3rd brakelight?

I had a "Veedub" one on my Golf, looked quite smart.

Im getting on that has the VRS logo for the Fabia.

I'll post up a picture when i get it fitted within the next week hopefully.

Ive got a 3rd brake light "vrs" sticker

The problem is,there is no way that it will go on unless i can get into the light cover

Ive had a look at it and given it a good tug:eek:

~It looks like it will come away but i dont want to start snapping things

SO

Can anyone tell me how you get the 3rd brake light surround off

You do just have to give it a good old yank. Start at one end. I think there are 5 clips regularly spaced equally along the width of the tailgate. It is hard to get off, but it will come. The clips are sturdier than you think.

Thanks

So you just get your fingers behind it and start ripping it off

I will go and give it another go:thumbup:

That was painless enough

The sticker looks good on the brake light anf the cover came off and went back on with no dramas

Nice one. Glad to be of service.

where are you on merseyside?

Birkenvegas.

i wouldnt see your car around then

Im in frodsham and most of my motoring is around north cheshire and south liverpool

Have got one of these fellas for the Fabia but have not fitted it yet, like comments above am scared to start ripping the little fella to bits just for a sticker.

I fitted both of ours with differing success..... The first one in the 05 car went like a dream and took no nore than 5-10 minutes...... Then it came to the 06 car...... It took an hour and was left with one of the clips perm. inside the boot door!!!!! It rattled around a abit when opening the boot at first but has recently stopped doing it as much so i think it may have got stuck somewhere inside.

Cheers

Dave.

I got a mate to put the sticker on whilst I pulled down on the trim without actually taking it off.

Turned out alright.

After getting some advice from this thread

I nipped outside pulled the cover off ,slapped the sticker on and then pushed the cover back on

took about 3 mins

But as we all know

Things can go tits up on the simplest of jobs
