Is K&N 57i induction kit worth it on Revod RS

Featured Replies

2 days to go until I get my revo remap and forge dv fitted on my rs.

Was also going to get the K&N induction kit but the tuner wants

180 euros plus 50 for fitting !!

What are the real gains anwyay. I've heard it can be as low

as 2-3bhp. Would it be noticeable (besides the noise).

thx

personal pref.

i have the neuspeed and it cost more than the kit you describe... but am sure the k+n kits are cheaper on ebay.

Flanno IMHO a filter kit like you 've described is a hinderance in everyday driving, especially as you siad before alot of your time is spent in traffic... too much heat soak, a good compromise is to get a KnN panel filter and add a cold air feed to the factory air box, cheaper and in everyday use probably as good a gain... it wont have the induction roar though which is mighty addictive... ;) but again its personal pref id rather spend the money on the exhaust...

Cheers

Oiled filters can also mess up your MAF.

I had a 57i kit on my old Astra (2.0 Sport 16v)

Complete and utter :pants:

Total waste of time & money. You can't get enough cold air into the damn things to make them work, they sit far too close to the engine, and i have no reason to think it will be any different on an RS.

is this the same as fitting a Carbonio kit?or is the Carbonio better as the filter is down in the bumper?

am thinking of getting one this weekend as am in Manchester/Oldham and its not far to get to Awesome.

any advice much appreciated due to the cost of the Carbonio kit.
