Forge Cold Air Induction Kit

Featured Replies

Ive noticed that Forge now do a CAI for the vRS TFSi has anybody got one of these fitted or know somebody who has. If so how do they compare to EVOMS/Neuspeed etc

Cheers

Don't know if anyone has installed the Forge CAI for the TFSI so be the first then we'll have something to compare the EVOMS with! :D

Looks a nice bit of kit though which you'd expect from Forge.

I'm not sure I would want my air filter sitting down that low, given the recent weather etc.

Would not take much for it to slurp up a gob full of water and bang goes the block. Nicely engineered though.

I can't comment on how they compare but the EVOMS is noticeably better even on a standard car.

Oh!!!!!!!!!

Any chance of a link as to where they are available, try and get it for the R.R day onthe 2nd. I've had dyno already would be nice to see the difference if any.

then again the increase in intake noise would be worth it

Have a look in the site sponsors section, Forge are one eof the brisky sponsors iirc and drop one of them a PM or shout out in their forum

Says as much on Forge's website!! Down the bottom in red:

"This kit is not recommended for use in severe wet weather conditions."

Unless you do something along the lines of the EVOMS with baffles/sheilds etc.

Here's a pic of my DIY installation of a K&N kit on my vRS TDI

.... it's certainly worked OK in the current wet weather although there are splash mark to show where some water has been around.

What do these sound like on the derv? Would love to keep the CAI/DV noise I have on the Mk1 vrs if i do manage to upgrade at any point.

Lots of whooshing and hissing at low revs/throttle and a good throaty gruff roar 2,000rpm upward full throttle. :D

Not sure what it does to power/torque (if anything) but I will find out at the JKM RR day next weekend. ;)

good good making it more tempting.
