My octavia accident !

Featured Replies

I'd advise you tell your wife not to drive at breakneck speeds again as at those speeds if you aren't in full control of the vehicle then its danger not only to the occupant but other users of the highways. And even then you have to be aware of the unexpected.

But I think she's prob learnt her lesson.

Lecture over. I'm glad she's ok though.

Will my VRS do more than 70mph?

I know the speedo is marked much higher..........

LMAO!:rofl::rofl:

If it is a fabia the answer is no. :P

If it is an Octavia the answer is yes, but only on private roads, race tracks German Autobahns and other roads where such activity is legal. :D

Could the g-force generated during the spin have momentarily 'allegedly" swung the needle over to 100mph and that is when his wife noticed it:rolleyes:.

At 70 the needle would have been almost vertical and therefore any sideways movement would have the maximum deflecting effect!!.

Could be possible?

Oh Please.....:dung:

Get on the M40 most mornings or in fact most M/ways & you will see just about every Rep in the fast lane following each other doing anything from 85 upwards - it's been like this for years. Just raise the speed limit to 90 for the fast lane only & stop this bullsh1t. All modern cars are more than capable compared to the 1970's - it's just some drivers need to have a little more tuition than others.

:P

Maybe it would help others in the future especially from the UK not to post about speeds they may have carried out on the UK's roads.

i have driven at 200mph on uk roads.

:)

i await storm troopers crashing through my door at any moment. :rolleyes:

to be fair i could post reg, chassis num, location, time , date, and what colour pants i was wearing but it would would not lead to a prosecution....

There is now fast lane on a motorway. You have the inside lane and two overtaking lanes. This is why we have some many bleeding lane hoggers in this country.

I think you missed my point slightly.

I am aware cars are more than capable of reaching and holding speeds higher than 100mph quite comfortably.

I used to cruise at 75-80 in my Astra.

The car might be able to travel at that speed safely but its a danger to everyone else if the driver isn't.

youre a real hellraiser sweetheart.....:rofl:

:rofl::rofl::rofl: Hellraiser :P

That car was fun to drive although it would understeer if thrown into a roundabout.
