Fabia - Front Door trim removal

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've got a 2001 Fabia - in my case it seems to be the driver's front door that's leaking following the replacement of an electric window motor.

I'm assuming it's just that the carrier seal has failed after being removed and re-fitted and so I'm considering the bathroom sealant repair that's recommended for the rear doors.

Does anyone have any advice for the removal of the front door trim? It's got electric windows. How long should I expect for the repair? I'm just going to attempt the driver's side at present.

Thanks,

Rich Spens

I think you'll find the carrier stays put when changing the motor, maybe they didn't replace the motor seals?

Do a search or check on fabia-vrs.com for door trim/carrier removal.
