Cracked rear bumper

Featured Replies

Hi All

I posted ages ago that I had cracked my rear bumper. The only downside about owning a fun is that it is a pig to reverse in the dark with the double reflection that you get from the rear view mirror when the truckman top is on.The good news is that for Xmas I got a reversing kit from the wise one in the house and I have found a body repair shop in Bridgwater to sort out the bumber and they will install the four sensors along the bumber for an all in price of £90!!! I have then got to get someone else who knows about electrics to put in the rest.Hopefully then my fun will be back in its original lovely condition!

I am also condidering a tow bar hitch to help protect the rear from my reversing errors and some kind of better reversing light than the original one.Has anyone done this and are there any ideas out there for fitting a new light at the rear? Reversing has never been an issue until I got this car and also my job has changed into one where I mostly work at night.

From Halfords I got these new head light bulbs,Super Brilliance Xenon which have really improved the vision at night.Normally these are £15 each so normally I would not have bought them, but they are selling them for £15 for two.Several of the guys at work had bought them and said they were good so on the back oof that I thought I would give them a try.

Have a Fun packed New Year all of you!!!!!

Personaly , unless it is daylight i dont look through the back on my fun ,i just use the mirrors. if you are going to get a towbar, i would go for a witter one as they are a lot easier to fit and you dont have to remove the rear bumper , this alone is a tw4t of a job ,i fitted a genuine skoda towbar and if you dont drop it down when you open the tailgate you end up with a dint in it.
