Wheel Squeal!

Featured Replies

Hey guys... got back from and survived the C&F Meet!

All i can say is thank god for ABS!!!!!!

On the way there on the motorway me and Loz heard a squeel from the car so we pulled over and checked it out... my drivers side brake was rubbing and squeeling while the wheel was centred but went away when i turned the wheel or braked!

I checked it out at the C&F and could see anything... recently had new discs and pads and a new calipur on passenger side.

I also noticed that the CV boot has split... could that be the cause of the squeel and not the brakes???

It wasn't there all the time... once the brakes have cooled it wasn't there but once warmed up it squeeled!

Any thoughts?!

Cheers

Phil

Pul the pads out and put a bit of copper grease on the back of the pads. older pads used to have an anti squeel backing on them, but now there seems to be nothing but paint

Jus got the brake pads all copper greased up! (just the backs/sides of course!!!) and so far so good... will take it for a run tomorrow hopefully and see how they are.

Was very easy to whipe the caliper off!!!

At least i know i can manage re-newing the pads from now on!

Hope it works mate
