Seeing as Tom got all bossy on us in the C&F post meet thread I have started a new one!! Any ideas for a near-ish to blackpool (I'm sick of driving miles to pubs!!) pub meet. Can be regular or one off, will be on a tues a mon or a friday.

All depends on how far your willing to drive as to suggestions to pub.

I'm willing to attend as long as its within hours or so drive.

I said to PUB meets Jay! That was the C&F meet, thats a driving meet!! I mean like Malthouse etc, where we leave fairly late and it feels like I'm driving forever to get home :(. There are never any meets near me! :(

If it's not Blackpool then as long as it's literally just off the motorway I should be fine. It's navigating towns I have problems with because how am I supposed to know where I'm going? :confused:

Preston is probably a good place for everyone, and I would have thought a Friday would be the most popular choice. Then I could call in on way to in laws with swmbo.

I don't know my way round preston even slightly, so would have to be something just off the M/way...............

There's a pub on Parbold Hill... think it's called the Wiggin Tree; but it's only about five minutes drive from the M6 on a really straight road - sort of, turn off the M6, turn right and follow the road to the really big hill.

If we all just met at loz's it would save a lot of hassle, she wouldn't get lost, and could have a drink. Also make the free supper and get t'kettle on :D:rofl:

How about the Reebok Stadium? I know its not ideal, but its easily accessible, everyone will be able to get to it and im sure there'll be a brewer's fayre-type of joint around there?

Would you be thinking of Guys Thatched Hamlet/Owld Nells? Was very nice the last time I was there. I think a member who lives in Preston would be handy here. Vix springs to mind.
