Owd Nells is a great little pub if you want food, Friday nights can get busy. There is also the Phantom Winger which is just off the M6/ M55, I haven't been there for ages though.

There's a VAG meet at the Poachers at the end of the M65, I think it's every month on the first Tuesday night, why don't you tag onto this?

Yeah I've been lol. I was thinking more along the lines of a Malthouse meet where a group of us meet for a drink and maybe food in the pub, not a stand in a car park and freeze your t*ts off type thing, full of loads of people you don't actually know haha!

That big building in the corner of the cold car park is actually a pub!:P

Failing that, there's a few Pubs up the A59 towards Clitheroe at Junction 31 on the M6 which all do food and have plenty of parking spaces

Yeah but there would be loads of people there and any new brisky members who didn't know anyone wouldn't know who they were supposed to be meeting!!

What about the Boddington Arms, 3-4 minutes from j31 on M6. Big car park & 2 for 1 meals

Well... just come off the M55 for preston and broughton... head up the A6 through broughton and then to barton and its on the main road there i believe.

Think its very restauranty though... and not very pub like sort of thing!

I think it's a hotel isn't it? but has a bar area that I remember being nice thats all

I didn't think people would want to have to come all the wayn into Blackpool thats all lol. There is probably somewhere reasonable, but nothing spectacular springs to mind....lol

Restauranty is fine by me - it'll make a change. But I guess it means everyone will have to eat???

Pub is good for me as well though.

And Blackpool isn't any further than Preston really.

I'm just trying to think of somewhere nice though :( Malt house and Swan are both quite nice places to go, I don't want to let the side down lol

I was supposed to be down that way today, and would have checked out some places (from the outside)... that is until my garage door broke and got stuck half way and I had to spend the afternoon fixing it

there is a quiet pub near me called the Dover Lock iirc not been for a while but that could be good

I know plenty of nice places in lancaster but same story... doubt people would want to drive all the way over this end so needs to be somewhere half way kinda thing..

Im up for this too, altough it would be 9 when i got there. How about the Lea Gate pub, where they hold the NWVAG meet? They seem accomodating to owners clubs
