Gran Turismo 4 Cars....

Featured Replies

Prologue seems

But!

Has anyone found a way of unlocking the camera from being fixed behind the car in helicopter camera mode (3rd camera option)? I always play driving games from this angle but having the camera fixed like this is just a disaster for me! I want 'chase' mode like when playing from directly behind the car where you can see/feel the car turning. Can't find any options (options seem to be pretty few and far between). Any ideas?

There are 3 views?

in car (which I always use, with the wheel)

behind the car (allows the car to move)

behind the car further back (moves with the car)

Yep - it's view 3 that i use, but i want the car to move around like in view 2

Ah, I find the behind views just too detached, but then I use a wheel.

What type of wheel do you use Ian? Looking to get one as using the pad is a bit poo.

Logitech Driving Force Pro, 2 1/2 turns lock to lock, sequential shifter and paddles... was designed in conjunction with Polyphony for GT4. Very heavy, very strong feedback, firmer brake pedal than throttle, 9/10!

Nothing else comes close.

I currently have a excellent setup for my PC. PC desk + chair + wheel. Was planning on using the chair infront of the TV then have some sort of desk between chair & TV.

Thanks for the idea. Will be looking into it

Actually looks (saw someone playing it) like the physics are quite good...no longer are we drift masters overnight thanks to the kind coders...

Hats of to them for taking out the carebear code.

Should be good, but it could look soooo much better.

Why do they stick to the one platform anyway?

agree col, seems to have had the "all cars will oversteer" dialled out of it... it is a shame it is not cross platform.... would look so much better on a projector at 1280-1024:D

I can understand why Sony keep it on one platform, it's one of very few games that keep the PS2 used in my house to be honest.

Suppose Sony like to see GT as a Playstation game in a way Sonic was a Sega game and Mario was a Nintendo game.

And also they know people out there will buy their console just for that game. I did.
