Ultimately it's down to your personal taste.

My opinion would say don't spoil it with a set of heavy wheels that don't look that good (at that size with the right rubber they will look as if they don't belong on the car) and destroy the performance and ride.

That looks more like a set of 22s. ;) Kind of reminds me of the W12 golf. :D

they make these in a 5x100 et35 fitment which should go straight on, 250 for the wheels new.

looks like a mean mother bud go for it it is your decision at the end of the eday

In the majority of cases yes but the rubber will be very low profile meaning you will feel every bump and they will be heavy especially if you buy replicas which means that it will really hurt the performance and economy of the vehicle. To put decent rubber on it will cost you £80 - £100 a corner.

Why anyone would want to spoil the function over form like that is mystery but if you like the look of them then do it. The smart money would go for a nice quality set of 17s and get the best of both worlds but if that cash is burning a whole....

Id say no, but the again yes if they were smaller....

I had tinits on my car when i bought it, they came straight off, as it looked like a van!

i would also like the 17" mirror polished audi tt comp alloys but these are hard to find, theres a couple on ebay but we shall have to see.

Personally, I like the Monza 2 alloys - They look great on the Golf but having had oversized wheels on a previous car that meant ultra low-profile tyres that resembled an elastic band around the wheel, I wouldn't do it again.

17" wheels would look great, but as others have said, watch the weight.

I like them, however they are very flashy.

Sorry to hijack but would 215/40/17 tyres on a wheel of ET32 offset go straight on without rubbing?

even if lowered 30mm?

WAY to big IMHO, can you get them in 17s?

I personally think they look too big, 17's suit it very well though especially the octy vrs ones.

Try V-Werks

If it wasn't for the fact that my learners have this annoying tendancy to put wheels into contact with kerbs, I'd be tempted myself! :worried:

One question are these original monza's or reps?

Only we had a set of reps on out Beetle and the were knackered within six months with pitting etc no kerbing. So be warned you'd be better off getting a set of the ani edition mk4 golf bbs's there sweet rims!
