Any good deals on new Octavia VRS ?

Featured Replies

Im looking at buying a new Octavia VRS TDI Estate.

Anyone had any good deals to recommend recently ?

For the record I'm based east of Birmingham and obviously I'm searching around local dealers first - (there are only a few).

Try Prestige in Coventry they were ok wih me when we negotiated a deal last year ;)

Motorpoint had the best deal - TFSI hatch for 14k. Obviously that isn't what you're looking for and I don't recall them ever having a TDI VRs but worth a phone call?

Drive the deal have 0% for 3 years with 30% deposit (jus like on all Skodas due to the credit crunch basically) anyway price for a vRS TDI estate is £17.4k so a £2.2k saving off list and thats before you start really haggling.

I may be a bit stupid but I did not think you could haggle with drive the deal. I thought the price they quote is the lowest they can go. I did find that taking a print out of the quote to my local dealer (in Swansea) did see them nearly match the price (within a few hundred). Certainly it was close enough that I would have gone with the local dealer for the convienence etc. In the end I bought a nearly new one for a good price.

I've had 3 Octys from Brooklyn at Rugby.

Latest one 6 months ago, took web quote from Broadspeed and said "match that"!

They didn't even hesitate and I was happy with P/X & the whole deal.

Done and dusted within the hour.

Service has always been goodish too!

check out "http://www.carquake.co.uk". They put me on to a big lease company (Evolution Funding) doing private deals. 5 door hatch vRS petrol with various options, RRP £19200, ordered for £16200. Also they offered a good p/x on my old car. I'm due to collect on March 1st if it goes to plan. It was ordered at end of Nov so it's been a while but it was built to order to my spec. Only caveat is they pre register it to make the saving, and they keep the V5 for 6 months. Local Skoda dealer couldn't get within £1000 of the price (and that was after persuading them to pre-reg it). Plus the p/x offer was worse.
