Featured Replies

been away for 4 months, mate has been running my car once a week under my wifes supervision which is nowhere near how much i use it

Now there is a funny spring twanging noise when i put full lock on left or right and if i go over a bump or cats eye etc there is a clunk from my front left

Anybody have any idea's, steering rack??, suspension?? fook knows

Broken spring maybe?

I would say broken spring, worth looking at cause if it is it will have broken at the top, and is probably now on the body of the car.

Hmmm could be that , sounds like someone has left a spanner under the bonnet and its clanking on the metal,

Well i'm booking it in for a service this week so i'll get it checked and sorted then uuurrrrgggg

Ask your mate if he heard a loud clang when he sat in it at any point... I had that a while ago, sounded like the handbrake ratcheted down one click... only about 100 times louder.

Hope it's something cheap

I have bin in a car before when one went, it sounded like a shotgun going off. Not something your going to miss generally.

I have had it 3 times this month is just like a shotgun going off!

It will be the spring, happened on mine when I had it.

Make sure you replace both at the same time.

I bricked it too when my back one went.

yep, same noise as my car, see post "skoda technical services"

mine broke at the base of the spring.

cost me £200 to have both sides replaced...

how many miles has your car done ?
