Hard changing springs?

Featured Replies

any special things to think about?

nope, dead easy, just make sure they don't pop out of the compressors.

The rears are very very easy to do.

I found the passenger side front spring to be the worst to remove. Well, not the spring but the whole damper since the driveshaft hits the subframe when you lower down the supension. I took off the brake disc and loosened the driveshaft to be able to remove the damper. I think it was a little bit more work than I expected...

Did you have the front suspension geometry checked after changing the springs/dampers, or wasn't it necessary?

Time to check the dog's dampers........dog.gif

You'll need to get the geometry done if you have lowered it.

I assume you have as the Swedes seem to love trying to get the sump to hit the road! :D

Nope, didn't change/check geometry since no camber adjustment is possible. According to my friend and mechanic (who did most of the work) it's not necessary, and I trust him... I think ;)

Havn't managed to crack the sump yet:rolleyes:
