Vibration from roof lining

My Octavia Vrs has developed a very irritating squeak/rattle from the interior roof lining from somewhere above the rear nearside seat. It stops immediately if even the slightest of pressure is put on the roof lining but starts again as soon as pressure removed. Has anybody experienced this or know of a quickfix solution. I don't really want to have to have the whole thing removed and refitted. Thanks

Mine has exactly the same noise - there are some preiovous threads that have info on this problem (wiring vibration iirc) but i cant find them as yet.

Sounds like the aerial cable is rattling against the headlining. Depending on how far the noise is from the back of the car it can be fixed without headlining removal.

Could also be the courtsey light cabling...I believe.

I have the same problem...apparently fixed by my local dealer :rolleyes: ...only happens when it's really cold.

Usually fixed by packing the headlining with some foam.
