I need paint correction

Featured Replies

Anyone know of an excellent detailer in the Liverpool area? My baby could do with the full treatment. I never let anyone wash my car and have done well do have as few swirls as it has got in my 3 years of ownership, but the enevitable has happened and some careless work at an MOT station did some damage to a door which was removed but left buffer trails.

Cheers guys.

I do, it wont be cheap though!

CHERISHED CAR CARE - Home

Seen some of his work on detailingworld and it looks good.

Cheers Andy will look into this, found this web site also www.detailfinish.net

Thing is they can come round to your house and do it, surely it's best done inside with halogen lamps to realy show the defects in the paint? What do you think?

A halogen lamp will show the defects up outside as well as inside.

I suppose it depends how much you want to pay as to wether you get an accomplished ameteur with a pc, a mobile detailer with a pc, or go mad and have the car collected and someone like Paul at Miracle detail sort it ......... with a pc :DMiracle Detail

Mate, give Glyn O'Donnell a ring - click here.

He did my Ferb a few weeks ago and man, he did an amazing job.

Thanks to you all.

Mossman, your fabia looks great in that pic, hope you dont mind me asking how much you paid and did you have paint correction done - ie swirls and minor scratches removed?

I don't mind paying for quality, I mean some of these guys use hundred quid upwards waxes!

Might also be worth getting in touch with Iain at Welcome to FinerDetails Ltd. He's North West based (Manchester area) so not too far away. Again, plenty of info about him and his work on Detailing World :)

Double post!

Thanks, it's nice to know there are so many pro's in the area, I thought I was goning to strugle to find one - now I'm just going to strugle choosing which one!

Think there's enough work to go round, judging by some of the posts on DW :D

Steve

See, I knew he only worked on the good stuff :D

A garage would be ideal if you have one, especially in this weather. The guys usually carry big halogen worklights so even in daylight you can see exactly what needs to be done.

Youre welcome to borrow my rotary polisher and have a go. Or if we get a sunny day anytime soon I could have a bash.

Hi, just looking around but you should tell that guy is you see him again that nm stands for nanometre (0.000000001 m, or 0.001 mm), not newton micron (what would that mean???). (Cf paintwork correction)

I'm sure he does good work, but I find people trying to convince you they know things they don't particularly annoying. I don't know when to trust them anymore...

Iain (Finerdetails) has detailed my car (no paint correction was needed) and I'd recommend him to anyone.

would a detailer be able to remove overspray, both paint and laquer?

Yes, I am pretty sure you can get that corrected.

Olio, thanks for the heads up. As to trust, I would trust him 150% :)
