Another Scout

Featured Replies

Well, having planned to change my trusty Mk1 Octy this summer it looks like I'll be getting an 07 ex-demo TDi Scout with only 4k miles in the next few weeks! Saw it at a price I couldn't let pass me by and after haggling a bit and using my 150k miler as trade-in I've got it for £14,620 with the "essential" variable boot floor added in. The car already had the MFSW, Maxidot and Xenons.

At that kind of money for that spec I've been grinning all day. The car I've wanted since it came out at a price I can actually afford! Happy Days. Pleased as Punch and then some:thumbup:

Nice one. I like the Scout.... shame the wife ended up with it :(

Hi

Nice one !! my wife also got the 4x4, at least it wasn't as painful as Auroan as she got the Amb 1.9 tdi pd 4x4. The Scout looks more of the boys toy anyway, enjoy.

Octy 2, 1.9 TDI PD Ambiente 4x4 Combi and Nissan Sunny 2.0 DLX, Company Octy 1.9 TDI Tor Combi.

Thats sounds like a tidy deal, nice options too:thumbup:

What colour?

Congrats, enjoy your new car

Congrats on getting a good deal :)

Collection is confirmed for next Thursday:thumbup:

It's a Satin Grey number, which given that my main car buying colour thoughts for the last few years has been "just not silver" suits fine.

Only downside is that the car's in the SE of England so it'll be a bit of a trek to get it (two days "holiday" off work). On the plus side though it's booked into Simpsons in Preston for the Bluetooth Kit on the way home so everything will be sorted from the off!

I'll probably be posting pics of pride in a fortnight.......

Sorry!

Niall

Niall,

Is that the one in Gillingham on the Approved Used Website?

Seemed a reasonable price if it is compared to the usual policy of over pricing nearly new cars.

I'm quite envious. Hope all goes well.

Maybe..............

Really starting to look forward to my holiday later this week!

It's starting to feel a bit more real now.

Niall

Good bunch of guys at Sherlodge, if thats where your getting it from.

Enjoy your trip home.

It's here!!

A great piece of kit. Magical on the motorway and a keener drive than the Mk1 on country roads. Not yet had a chance to take it off the beaten track, though having seen the solid metal tray underneath, in addition to the additional clearance and four wheel drive I can't see it being a problem.

It's also nice to have all the toys making it a great place to be on a long journey.

I'm loving the light assist, there's a real sense of occaision in unlocking the car in the twilight and have the Xenons flicker into life:)

Just need to let the engine loosen up a bit more and get a few more journeys under my belt to get a handle on the real world economy.

Chuffed to bits.

Looks very nice, enjoy it.

Nice one Niall, nice in that colour too but just a little advice about the light assist - the coming home is very nice & welcoming but it nails your battery in no time, I had to switch it off completely & no longer use it. I think even on the minimum time setting it will still eventually drain the battery.

Have fun!
