I have ordered some of those Halon headlamp white light bulbs from e/bay they claim 50% extra light, anyone tried these out ?

I have got the extra brilliance ones from halfrauds

They aren't too bad to be honest although will have to give them a proper test along a dark country lane one night.

i have xenon super wites in my fely and there gr8.dark country roads rock wit them on full beam

Ive tried cheopo ones from ebay before and although they are a lot brighter than the standard ones (always seem very dull in the felly!) they don't conpare to comething like Philips Blue Vision or Extreme power bulbs (what i have in at the moment!)...

But they will be a big improvement on the standard ones that doesn't take much to do! lol

Maybe get some better sidelight bulbs too? The philips blue vision sidelight bulbs are the best imho!

I have used Osram blubs in the past and they always do well in the Auto Express tests. These have been the best I have ever used, period! Without going to HID lights these are the next best thing. I got the ebay bulbs first and the Osrams had about twice the light......

In a ideal world the internal headlamp adjustment would work in my felly,what was this feature like when it was working ? did it adjust visibly and rapidly? any ideas on repair

of this item ?.

To repair the auto adjusters you have to replace the entire unit I think. The problem is the internal fluid leaks out over time. It would probably cost more than the benefit you get from it.

On the bulbs I swapped my standard Halogens to Philips Xtreme power. Seemed noticeable difference at the time but guess I've got used to them now.

Im using the same bulbs and the same comment really.

I only remembered just how bright they were the other night when the whole city went into darkness (power cut) and i could see a thing going down a back street so i stuck em on full beam and the whole street just lit up and i coule see the pedestrians etc on the path.... although i doubt they could see anything at that point though!!
