I have a scratch on my windscreen at eye level. With the MOT due in a few weeks I am worried it will fail the test, for the past few weeks I thought it was just dirt but took the car to the car wash yesterday and they mark is still they. Any products on the market I could get rid of the scratch.

i would be interested in this as well as i have small scratches from my wiper blades arrggg

I have a swirl type one where the eye level is too.

Our chappies who do screens for us recommend a new screen as if they fill it there will always be a smeer type mark when the wipers are on....

If it's a bad scratch? Possibly speak to Autoglass, they may have a solution.

If it's in your field of vision, i would personally just pay the excess and get a new one put in.

Mine didnt fail MOT (last week), but its annoying when the car is clean and at night as its right in your line of vision...

I have had to contact my insurance company to get the screen fixed. If the screen can be fixed it won't cost me anything if it as to be replaced it will be £50.

My old car was like this, female owner who must have had a ring on who did what all women do when the window steams up... rubs it with the back of her hand thus scratching the bloody glass:thumbdwn:

Hi am john, work for RAC auto Windscreens, you cant do anything with a stratch, maybe a lil polish (t cut if ur DIY'ing) will hide it a little bit, wiper scratches usually fail mot, but for a little scratch on eye line, depends how bad, is it deep? possibly to okay, depends on the person how he feels on the day.
