Must be a very optimistic speedo ;)

Would be nice to team a GPS upto it, What revs was it sitting at when it went 'off the clock'?

Still not the brightest thing to say in a for sale ad though is it

Generall consensus after a statement like that would be 'ragged' next one ;)

Was going to say the same thing myself. Have spoken to him once before he started his new job. Thought he might have looked into selling it on here as well.

Blah! i used to be able to get a 1.2 nova off the clock ..required a massive hill though :D

All this going off the clock stuff doesn't really matter. How often does it really come into play? Ummm? Exactly. :D

I prefer the fact that mine reaches 100 fast enough, but I very rarely see the need to go above that. I tend to prefer to ease off at that point and let whatever I was trying to make the point to come past and see the look on their face/s. :D

i find the speedo on my octavia and from the sound of it other skoda's quite inaccurate, mine is out by around 8-10mph at 120mph(gps) but my 20+ year old mazda is only 2mph out at all times and can hit 125mph without too much hassle on the speedo so i do believe it will do 125mph realisticly when the fabia is doing the same speed but showing 140mph!!

My clocks over read by 3% which is not bad really. Means I can be fairly confident when going through a speed camera, etc, I'm doing pretty much what the speedo is telling me.

It was miles out on 14" steels though. :thumbdwn: Only accurate now due to 17s and 215/40 tyres.

Mines is the exact same,

Pretty bang on with the gps and ive got 17's :)

Thats why i started this thread there's no way on this planet (unless driven off a very big cliff) that a 180 bhp VRS can go off the clock, mines sticks at 130 for days upon end at 4.2k revs and will not shift, another 20mph + ontop of that is just rediculous

Your missing the point.... again ....

We're not discussing how often we go off the clock, but...

whether it's possible for a remapped car to go off the clock, and what's even more funny, someone else has said there standard car goes off the clock. ;)

Because of the way you type, understanding you is difficult.

Are you saying your standard PD130 vRS goes off the clock?

/\/\ no my standard vrs goes to 130..... no more :o I didn't mean mine went off the clock just reread how iv placed all that......the one that jason posted does

this is coming from someone who recons they will give the ex star fabia a run for its money  if thats true and yours only goes to 130 you will stand NO chance i was left in a cloud of smoke from it when i was at 130

anyways its all getting a bit petted now........

Nerr... nerrr..... my car is faster than yours.

Grow up children.

BLACK !

I love that he's polishing it once a week and thinks this is a good thing! Skoda paint is thin enough!

150+ mph in 3rd gear is a load of balls!

He's got no hope of getting 12k for it! good luck to him. :)

Goes off which clock ? Never said he speedo LOL

Might be talking about the time ... 12 hour or 24 ?

I'd buy it- if he put the standard wheels and suspension back on, got some standard lights, put the rear wiper back on, took out the barry boy sub and gauge pod (which doesn't seem to work!) and reduced the price by £2.5k.

Oh wait, maybe I'd be better just buying a standard or remapped one that hasn't been ragged?

Word of advice dude, take out the comment about it going off the clock, this woudl put off the majority of potential buyers.

Also, take off the bits you can take off (wheels, ICE, coilovers, etc,) sell them seperately and price your car as per a standard car (plus a bit extra if its in really good nick, and for the remap).

You'll have a much bigger potential market then.

Weird, I almost bought this car pre mods.... oh what a nice live it would have had if I had bought it!
