Clock Garage Derby

Featured Replies

Just rang up Clock garage which is my local main dealer to get a price for a 80k service without the air filter and without cambelt as its already been done and to have a set of discs and pads fitted which I will supply to my 03 Octavia VRS. Prices I got were

80k Service: £299.41

Fit brakes: £255.50

That's what, ~£110 an hour + Darling's Dosh?

I bought my mk1 octy from there....sales experience was good, after sales & servicing experience didn't really match up

I don;t think they are any worse than any other dealer but I stopped going back to them a while ago

bear in mind you do not have to get your servicing done at a dealer in order to have your service book stampted anymore....of course this is dependent on finding a good local independent place you can take you car too!

Not sure where you are based, but my car goes to a bloke in Ripley just up the A38 from Derby. I am sure there are other independent places you could go to in Derby, but PM me if you would like his details.

cheers

I live 5 minutes from Clock and had much the same experience as Madfiddler - great until they sold you the car.

I use a garage in Long Eaton run by a family friend, not the cheapest but do a very good job, should be cheaper than the quote you had. The guy has worked on, and can remember, all the cars my dad has owned since the 60's...

Mind you Clock are not as bad as White Dove in Cardiff.

Thanks for the warning, was intending to take mine there next week !

Will look elsewhere now!

Its now going to parkway VW to be done. afterall its more or less a vw.

£314 for a 80k service and fitting discs and pads

that's quite a difference...all being VAG you'd hope they'd quote the same wouldn't you?!
