Cam Belt Changed

Featured Replies

Just had cambelt changed at Silbury skoda cramlington.

Price £301 and that was with me providing a brass impeller water pump.

They give me the old water pump and found it was like new.

This is off a 2002 octy with 38000 miles.

Cheers, but the issue typically arises around the second cambelt change (based on changing at 48_000 miles).

Looks good, but preventitive maintainance is the key, you done the right thing in the long run (for probably not much more outlay)

My last one looked fine (not sure if was changed at the previous belt change or not), so was either 60k or 120k :-) But much better to change it before it fails, rather than to have to shell out for the cost of a another cambelt change.
