Hi guys and gals,

Careless skip driver damaged the right back corner of my octy while reversing into very narrow lane. The damage is not to bad but still has to be done properly.

Does anyone know a decent bodyshop that can put the car back to factory finish in or near Reading?

Any info will be highly appreciated

I have used one before in Maidenhead called Quickflare.

It was a chap called Richard that sprayed my grille and bumper bits for cash.

Good job too.

Used Martins a few years ago and they did a good job. Coventry and Clark have been around for around for over 20 years and have a very good name in the trade. They would both be OK for an insurance job.

I know a one man band who has done a couple of jobs for me over the last 4/5 years and does good work.

Steer clear of NCR, Newbury Crash Repairs they have not got a good name.

Coventry and clark did a good job on my octy front end, they just didnt re-aline the head lights, took it back and they did it not a problem.

Know a few who said same about Martins. I think everybody gets a bad experience with some firm some time in there life. Odds are against you getting a 100% all the time!

Dan I hope you are not right about Coventry & Clark as I am just about to take my Boxster in there ( laugh now) after some young*******woman nattering to her Mother reversed into it. Put the fear of Christ up SWMBO it was her side!! One new door and paint labour etc £1500????

This was many moons ago, it just stuck in my mind. I'm sure you'll be fine....

Lets hope so!! Today her insurance cimpany said that I was moving when she hit me. They are trying for a 50 / 50 split.

There were no witnesses. My arguement was how did she know if I was moving if she didn't look in her mirrors. If she had she would not have hit me. She must be deaf as well as she didn't hear the horn going either. Ah well its with the legal people now!
