new bushes in ARB

New MAF and coil

diagnostic check and faults fixed (maf and coil)

tracking done

new CV joint

Its like a different car faster smoother and feels a lot safer plus nocking noise gone

im thinking about getting my ARB bushes changed but was told to change ARB at the same time was you told anything like that or was it ok just to change the bushes?

That's an "it depends" scenario. If the coating on the ARB itself has gone with the bushes, then you need a new ARB. if it hasn't you don't.

the arb is just a metal even if the coating (or paint) has gone i would not worry that much will take a long time to corrode away!

But when the coating goes thats what causes the knocking owing to the gap between the bush and the bar where the coating once was.

If you catch my drift:)

It corrodes directly inside the bushes, and rust is very friable, so it can wear out in a few months if the coating's gone in there.

Ken your doing it again, whats "friable" mean

It breaks or, in this case more wears by rubbing, very easily.

It's an acknowledged design defect on the vRS.

Good price. The ARB is a nightmare when it rattles.
